Sittingbourne & Sheppey UKIP Branch

About UKIP Locally

swale ukip 1We want be bring back local decision making on Swale Council by listening to local people.

The Sittingbourne & Sheppey constituency branch (Swale UKIP) has been active since the early days of UKIP but under the chairmanship of Ian Davison has grown from strength to strength locally. Ian was the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) for the 2010 General Election. Under Ian and a hard core of committee team UKIP has been able to grow a memership base locally, fought local by elections in Swale and was able to return 3 KCC councilliors in the May 2013 county council elections. Ian has set in place a strong local UKIP team who are continuing the good work started by Ian. Unfortunately, Ian stood down as Chairman & PPC in November, Ian is still able to offer his support to UKIP locally and nationally.

In January 2014 Richard Palmer was announced as the UKIP candidate for Sittingbourne and Sheppey for the 2015 General Election. Richard Palmer the PPC for Sittingbourne and Sheppey came second in the 2015 General Election. At the same time as the General Election UKIP won 9 seats on Swale council becoming the official opposition

We are seeking local peoples views on Swale and national issues to help form local manifesto for the KCC election and setting in place a team to help carry UKIP to success both locally.
